Reading Cocktail week

Starting on Friday 3rd and running until the 12th of July it's the first ever Reading Cocktail Week, and we of course are super involved. Its a concept that has been running around the country for quite a few years, notably the big town up the Lizzie line, but it is fresh and very welcome to the Ding.
It works thusly, you buy a wristband from here readingcocktailweek.com which then unlocks a huge amount of discounted signature cocktails across the town for the whole 10 days. Plus there are deals on events, and food etc on top. Its a great way to explore the town and maybe try some drinks you wouldn't normally. There are a whopping 24 venues taking part!

We've brought back a real Milk classic, one of the first cocktails we served, Reading Milk, but a much, much older drink. In the 1700s, Reading became a major highway stop for fashionable elites traveling to spa towns like Bath. Inns such as The Crown, The Bear, and The George catered for those needs, and The Georges signature was Reading Milk, Rum, Milk, Nutmeg and sugar (we've also added coffee, because its lush)
Negroni fan? The Chairmans Reserve spiced Negroni, hits so different, its a really fruity complex twist on the cocktail stalwart.
We also have a stone cold classic the Mai Tai, a personal favourite. Who doesn't love a Mai Tai?
For those on the strait and narrow we have one of our bestsellers the non-alc Biscoff Martini, but if you want one with booze, that’s also totally understandable (and recommended)
We have the always remarkable Planteray Rum doing a tasing on Wednesday the 8th. Voted the worlds best rum, and a true Milk member of the family, hosted by the genius that is Planteray global brand ambassador Paul McFadyen, what he dosen't know about rum isn't worth knowing. Personally speaking and having attended many of Paul's masterclasses, I always learn something, and its always amazing fun. If you have a wristband, use the code MILKWEEK1 for £10 tickets too.
